UGREEN HDMI Extender 70m, Network Cable Extender for Long HDMI Runs

UGREEN HDMI Extender 70m, Network Cable Extender for Long HDMI Runs

Product Description

The UGREEN CM455 (part no. 20519) is an HDMI extender that carries 1080p@60Hz video and audio up to 70 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 network cable, or 4K@30Hz up to 35 metres. A transmitter box sits at the source and a receiver box at the display, each with its own 5V power supply, so a DVR, decoder or PC can drive a screen in another room, a reception area or a security office without a long and fragile HDMI cable.

HDMI cables lose strength over long runs, and a cable stretched across a room is untidy and a trip hazard. The UGREEN CM455 HDMI extender carries the signal to the display over a long run. It is made for meeting rooms, churches, shops and installers who need the screen far from the source.

Key Features and Benefits

• Up to 70m: Listed for runs of up to 70m using network cable.
• 70 m at 1080p@60Hz: one network cable from the server room to the showroom wall, or from the DVR to the manager's office.
• 4K@30Hz up to 35 m: Ultra HD signage over shorter runs.
• Standard Ethernet cable: Cat5e or better with solid copper cores, which is far cheaper per metre than HDMI and can be pulled through conduit.
• HDCP 1.4: protected content from decoders and streaming boxes still plays at the far end.
• Full audio pass-through: PCM, DTS, DSD and Dolby AC-3 up to 192 kHz/24-bit, including 5.1 and 7.1 channels.

Made for Life in Nairobi and Across Kenya

Share a presentation to a wall-mounted TV on the other side of a Nairobi boardroom, project song lyrics at church from a laptop at the back, or run a digital menu in a shop without cables on the floor.

Buying and Setup Tips

• Place the transmitter and receiver within the listed range and with as few obstructions as possible.
• Check the resolution you need, and that the source and display both support it.
• Plan power for both ends where the device requires it.
• Use solid-copper network cable; copper-clad aluminium (CCA) cable loses signal over long runs and is a frequent cause of flicker.
• Both boxes need mains power, so plan a socket at the display end as well as at the source.

Who It's Perfect For

• Meeting rooms and training venues
• Churches and event halls
• Shops and restaurants with display screens

Frequently Asked Questions

How far will it reach?
The listed range is on this page. Real range depends on the room, walls and interference.

Can one source feed more than one display?
Check the number of receivers supported before buying.

Can I show the CCTV DVR from the server room on a TV at reception 50 m away?
Yes. Connect the DVR's HDMI to the transmitter, run Cat6 to reception, and the receiver feeds the TV at 1080p@60Hz. 50 m sits comfortably inside the 70 m limit.

Does it need a special HDMI cable at each end?
No. Any standard HDMI cable links the source to the transmitter and the receiver to the display; keep those short and let the network cable cover the distance.

Will a 4K decoder work through it?
Yes, at 4K@30Hz up to 35 m of Ethernet cable. Over longer runs, set the decoder to 1080p output.
